Masako Oguro repurposes silk shibori dyed kimono and kimono jackets (haori) and transforms them into stylish garments from her studio in NYC. This lovely one-of-a kind Yūzen scarf is double-sided with a contrasting design on the reverse. Yūzen is a Japanese resist dyeing technique where dyes are applied inside outlines of dyed or undyed rice-paste resist. RAM’s selection of Japanese import scarves include many unique and one-of-a-kind examples—some dating back to World War II and before. These scarves also make for a beautiful table runner or wall hanging.
