Kiff Slemmons—Archivo Grande Necklace

Illinois artist Kiff Slemmons is known internationally for her art jewelry. She has spent the past 10 years working with the artisans of Arte Papel in Oaxaca, Mexico. This work has resulted in the creation of a collection of sculptural jewelry that utilizes indigenous plants, fibers, and natural and synthetic dyes. These pieces are rolled, cut, and punched, creating sculptural adornment that is very light in weight. Slemmons bracelets and neckpieces are colorful and can be worn on the body in many interesting ways.
