PEEP Rests in a Garden Postcard

And the winner is...

The 2024 winner of the RAM PEEPS® Postcard Award from the RAM 15th Annual International PEEPS Brand Art Exhibition goes to The Marshmallow Peep Rests in a Garden by Milwaukee artist Lynnzie Palomaki. This stunningly lush acrylic painting is a homage to The Unicorn Rests in a Garden (from the Unicorn Tapestries) at The Met Cloisters. The original tapestries were first recorded in 1680 in the Paris home of the Rochefoucauld family and were looted during the French Revolution. Since being rediscovered in a barn in the 1850s, they have been the subject of intense scholarly debate about the meaning of their iconography, the identity of the artists who designed them, and the sequence in which they were meant to be hung.

Just like the mysterious monogram in the original, Lynnzie has even cleverly painted their initials on either side of the tree trunk. Come see this fantastical painting up close through April 13, 2024 at the RAM 15th Annual International PEEPS Brand Art Exhibition.
