Alex Mandli—Peeps Knick-Knack

Racine ceramicist and educator Alex Mandli crafted this refined vessel for the RAM 11th Annual International PEEPS Art Exhibition. Part of the artist's iTalianate Series, this vase blends an interest in historical traditions with iconography and imagery of modern technology—and a few marshmallow Peeps® as well! The approach to surface design would lead you to believe this vessel was pulled from an archaeological dig, but the masked Peeps® rabbits taking selfies say otherwise.
