Randall Darwall - Weft Brocade Scarf

Randall Darwall - Weft Brocade Scarf

Randall Darwall (1948-2017) was a master colorist and weaver whose extraordinarily refined aesthetic brought intelligence and liveliness to his exquisite work. He attended Harvard College and Rhode Island School of Design. Darwall also established a weaving studio in Cambridge while serving as Arts Division Head at The Cambridge School.

Shades of cocoa, charcoal, mint, orange, and banana combine to create a scarf which begs to be worn. This work of wearable art is woven of silk and cashmere and is made with over 50 hand dyed hues which gives you the ability to pair this wide scarf with almost any article of clothing. Randall Darwall’s works are in the permanent collections of the New York City’s Museum of Art and Design; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Fuller Craft Museum; Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum; and the Racine Art Museum.
