Frank Lloyd Wright's Penwern: A Summer Estate by Mark Hertzberg
In Mark Hertzberg’s latest title Frank Lloyd Wright’s Penwern he reviews the lesser known the early 40 or so summer cottages Wright designed in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ontario which have a rustic feel and are not as easily recognized. Specifically, he discusses a stunning estate on Delavan Lake in southern Wisconsin called Penwern. Frank Lloyd Wright devoted his revolutionary creativity to refining his famed Prairie style, especially in Racine, Wisconsin, called "invention city" for all the innovative products developed there. Award-winning photojournalist Hertzberg’s book features color photographs, plus vintage black and white pictures, and original Wright drawings.
