John Glick - Ceramic Bottle

A rare bottle created by American potter John Glick (1938-2017), is both functional and stylish. Its gloss brown glaze is highlighted with darker accents throughout. The stopper and neck are threaded to make a tight seal. This is a major piece by this artist.

John Glick’s work can be found in the permanent collection of The Detroit Institute of Arts, Detroit, MI; The Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, NY; Gardiner Museum, Toronto, Ontario, Canada; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Los Angeles, CA; The Mint Museum, Charlotte, NC; Museums of Art and Design, New York, NY; The Newark Museum, Newark, NJ; Racine Art Museum, Racine, WI; and the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington, D.C.
