Randall Darwall - Honeycomb Weave Scarf

Randall Darwall (1948-2017) was a master colorist and weaver whose extraordinarily refined aesthetic brought intelligence and liveliness to his exquisite work. He attended Harvard College and Rhode Island School of Design. Darwall also established a weaving studio in Cambridge while serving as Arts Division Head at The Cambridge School.

In shimmering shades of raspberry and oranges on a dark background – rich colors that are a trademark of this artist work. This fine piece has a side fringe down all 78” of its length. Randall Darwall’s weavings are in the permanent collections of the New York City’s Museum of Art and Design; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Fuller Craft Museum; Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum; and the Racine Art Museum.
