Nancy Adams - Mini Frog Vase

Oregon artist, Nancy Y. Adams has always been a lover of nature and all kinds of animals and plants. She is influenced by Greco-Roman and Egyptian mythologies and those she finds in the Native American interpretation of life through totem plants and animals.

Her works are joyous and exciting at the same time. There is an elegant symmetry to her wheel thrown earthenware vessels and carved motifs of flora and fauna. She airbrushes low fire glazes and under glazes onto each piece before they are kiln-fired which gives then a soft velvety texture.
