Bill Reid—Monitoring a Fresh Delivery of Heavenly Object to an Astronomer Sculpture

Wisconsin artist Bill Reid is nationally known for his visually stimulating and playful painted welded steel sculptures of imaginary animals. Reid has created a unique world of creatures based on his own word play. Many of these one-of-a-kind toy-like sculptures have movable parts operated by hand cranks and are titled with words of the artist’s own making. The RAM Museum Store features sculptures, both large and small, and wearable pins created by the artist.
