Tony Marsh earned his BFA in Ceramic Art at California State University Long Beach in 1978, and teaches in the Ceramic Arts Program at his alma mater—even acting as Program Chair for over 20 years. He is currently the first Director of the Center for Contemporary Ceramics at CSU-Long Beach and was a 2018 United States Artist Fellow.
Marsh's work is represented in many permanent museum collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Mad Museum of Art in New York; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; The Everson Museum; Racine Art Museum; the Oakland Museum of Art; Gardiner Museum of Art, Toronto; and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
This 22-page softcover monograph showcases 13 full-color illustrations and includes the artist's resume. It was published in conjunction with a 2002 exhibition of Marsh's work at Garth Clark Gallery.
